Register online

Create your account at our online application portal. Keep your login details for future reference.

Start your application

Click “Start Application” and complete the form for the grade you’re applying for, from ECD to Grade 7.

Submit your documents

Upload required documents in PDF or JPEG format. If you can’t upload them online, email or deliver them within 30 days.

We’ll be in touch

Our admissions team will review your application and keep you updated by email throughout the process.

Annual fees by phase, payable monthly over 12 months.

The following fees apply in addition to monthly school fees.

ECD aftercare is included in ECD school fees. Preparatory aftercare fees are payable over 11 months. No discount applies to aftercare fees. Aftercare attendance is subject to the school fee account being current. Holiday programme excludes public holidays and December holidays.

Frequently asked questions

What grades do you offer?

Vaal Triangle Preparatory offers a continuous education from Grade RR through to Grade 7, across our ECD Centre (Grade RR–R) and Preparatory School (Grade 1–7). Contact our admissions team to confirm your child’s eligibility.

What documents do I need?

Please have the following ready when you apply:

  • Copy of birth certificate / ID document
  • Copy of study permit or refugee permit (if foreign)
  • Copy of learner’s latest progress report (Grade 1–7)
  • Copy of parents / legal guardian’s ID document
  • Copy of responsible person’s ID document
  • Transfer document (once available)
  • Copy of vaccination record (Pre-primary & Foundation Phase)
  • Copy of Medical Aid card (front and back)
  • Latest month’s proof of household income / salary advice
  • Water & lights account (latest) or proof of residence
  • 3 months’ bank statements
  • Two recent colour photos of the learner (ID size)

How long does the application process take?

Our admissions team aims to get back to you within a week of receiving your application, subject to availability. We recommend applying early as popular grades fill up quickly, especially for the following school year.

Is there a waiting list?

Some grades do fill up early in the year. If your preferred grade is at capacity, we will add your child to our waiting list and contact you as soon as a space becomes available. Get in touch to find out about current availability.

When are fees due?

School fees are payable monthly by the 1st of each month. See our fee tables above or contact our admin office for details: reception@vaalprep.co.za · 016 931 2200.

Is aftercare available?

Yes. Aftercare runs Monday to Friday until 18:00 and includes homework supervision, computer class, arts and culture, and structured physical activities. Lunch and a holiday programme are included. For ECD learners, aftercare is included in school fees at no extra cost. For Preparatory learners, a separate aftercare fee applies. See aftercare fees for details.

Can I visit before applying?

Absolutely. We encourage all prospective families to visit the campus before applying. Book a visit and our team will show you around and answer any questions you may have.
